Shawn Baker
Founder & CEO
Having earned his Ph.D. in humanity from the University of Hard Knocks, Shawn Baker, president, CEO, and founder of Freeman Recovery Center, immediately became aware of a void in Dickson, aftercare for persons in recovery.

Tabatha Baker, Pastor
Founder & Chief Compliance Officer
Extensive contributions during a 10-year period participating in the construction of a top-tier company from the foundation to the steeple, Tabatha Baker, co-founder and chief compliance officer at Freeman Recovery Center, LLC, brings knowledge, experience, and leadership to enhance substance use and mental wellness care access at the decade-old company.

Dr. Louis Lerebours, MD
OBOT Medical Director
Dr. Louis Lerebours is the OBOT Medical Director at Freeman Recovery Center, board certified in both Family Medicine and Addiction Medicine. He earned his medical degree from Meharry Medical College School of Medicine in Nashville and provides clinical leadership for addiction treatment services across multiple levels of care.

Steven Lepley, MA, LPC-MHSP
Clinical Director
Steven Lepley is a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Tennessee Mental Health Service Provider designation and 20 years of experience in substance abuse treatment. He has worked as a counselor, continuing care planner, group facilitator, clinic manager, and clinical director.
He is EMDR trained and specializes in early addiction recovery support, grief and trauma counseling, and PTSD of all kinds, including combat trauma.

Seth Berglund
Director of Compliance
Seth Berglund serves as Director of Compliance at Freeman Recovery Center, where he oversees regulatory compliance, risk management, and the governance systems that help keep a treatment organization accountable to the people it exists to serve. He brings more than a decade of experience in the behavioral health field.

Mandy Alvarado, LMSW, LADAC II
Program Director
Mandy Alvarado is a Licensed Master Social Worker, a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor II, and an EMDR-trained therapist specializing in trauma, substance use disorders, and mental health treatment. A graduate of Austin Peay State University, she has worked with Freeman Recovery Center for five years in clinical and leadership capacities.

April Landry is a seasoned nursing leader with 18 years of experience specializing in mental health, addiction recovery, and women’s health advocacy. She has led nursing and admissions teams, refining processes to increase access to care and remove barriers for individuals seeking treatment.

Are you a graduate student in the fields of mental health counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or another psychiatric medicine or mental health discipline? We offer Spring, Summer, and Fall semester internships supervised by licensed clinical staff. We offer our interns the opportunity to work directly with patients in a number of modalities including: assessments, group therapy, individual therapy, case management, etc. We can tailor a learning plan to meet your program’s requirements and your needs.
