It requires mental health professionals who are experienced in providing care for both diagnoses simultaneously to reach the best end result.

What Is an Addiction Rehab and Mental Health Treatment Center in Tennessee?

An addiction and mental health treatment center is a facility that offers inpatient and outpatient comprehensive services for people who are struggling with addiction and mental health conditions. These centers provide evidence-based and holistic approaches to recovery which address the physical aspects of addiction and the contributing psychological, emotional, and social factors.

Treatment programs typically include a combination of medical detoxification, therapy, counseling, and support groups that are tailored to meet the specific needs of the individual. There are a variety of levels of care for addiction and mental health treatment. These levels of care include residential, inpatient, outpatient programs, aftercare support, and sober living. Each stage helps ensure a continuum of care to support you through every stage of your recovery journey.

Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Related Statistics in the United States (US)

Mental Health, Alcohol and Drug Related Statistics in the United States (US)

Every state has people who are struggling with substance use disorders and mental health conditions. In a study of hospital costs, researchers estimated an annual expense of $13.2 billion for the treatment of substance use disorders without accounting for cost of premature death, violence, incarceration, and loss productivity. From 2003 to 2017, the incarceration rate for drug offenses in Tennessee rose by 26%.

But people do not get treatment in jail. Instead, it often interrupts treatment and cuts them off from medically managed care. Studies have looked at individuals with dual diagnosis, or those with a substance use disorder and co-occurring mental health condition, and found that an intensive 2-week outpatient treatment program can be an effective start to recovery. A comprehensive review of residential treatment integrated with mental health treatment and continuity of care found it to be highly effective.

Statistics on Christian Religion in Tennessee

Statistics on Christian Religion in Tennessee

Although some use the terms interchangeably, Christianity and religion are not the same thing. Religion is a set of beliefs or practices that are centered around questions of existence, spirituality, and morality. Christianity encompasses a wide range of beliefs, practices, and traditions, all centered around the teachings of Jesus Christ.

Many of the statistics surrounding the Christian religion in Tennessee do not differentiate between a religious affiliation and a belief system. That said, Pew Research Center finds the highest percentage of people who identify as Christians in Tennessee belong to the Baby Boomer generation, followed closely by Generation X. Most of these individuals are either moderate or conservative, yet 59% of liberals identify as Christians. Tennessee is one of the ten states that make up the Bible Belt, where Christianity and religious traditions play a role in everyday life. According to one study from Pew Research Center, Tennessee is the third most religious state in the country, but the study does not identify religion as Christianity.
